sanctum

I’ve recently bought an offer for Sanctum 2 on Steam, and while at the start I was a bit skeptic, I must say that I like this mix between a Tower Defense and an FPS.

Sanctum 2 is the sequel to the world’s first Tower Defense/FPS hybrid game
Pick from four unique character classes and take up the mission of protecting the Cores from hordes of mysterious aliens. In Sanctum 2 you play your character exactly the way you want through the new and extensive customization system. Pick your own loadout of towers, weapons and perks, and pick well, because you are humanity’s last defense against the hordes set out to destroy it.

The normal cost of the complete bundle that includes the game + 5 DLC it’s around 23 € on Steam, but if you like it I suggest to put it on your wishlits and wait for some offer, the game it’s a bit old and so offers should be frequent, I got it with a discount of the 70%

The game has a great graphics, still it’s playable on my crappy computer, and both the solo campaign and the online co-op multiplayer are funny enough, so let’s see now some detail about this game:

Garry’s mod is one of the most sold games for Linux on Steam, so I’ve decided to publish this review of the game, first published on devtome.com

Garry’s Mod, developed by Facepunch is without a doubt one of the most enjoyable and hilarious games that I have ever played. Out of the box, the game is perhaps one of the ultimate sandbox games available anywhere. You spawn in the middle of an open area that you choose and you can spawn in just about any item or NPC that you can think of. This game is also probably one of the best physics simulators available. The entire game revolves around physics. In this game you are able to do whatever you heart desires and although I say that with a lot of different games, I truly mean it with Garry’s Mod. Whatever you want. If you want to build an airplane out of a bathtub and some planks of wood, then be my guest. You can simply spawn in the materials that you want and then use tools to “weld” them together. Using weight tools you can make these items very light, which will allow them to become airborne. This game definitely deserves lots of praise.

YrminsulHave you had enough of nice and friendly heroes? Then become the villain of the piece! Get your own back on the pathetic forces of the good and make them finally understand that evil is something to be taken seriously, and must be well done. Resist their combined attacks during a game combining strategy and Tower Defense phases in a persistent universe. Make their islands, which make up this boring haven of peace, fall one by one. Evil spirits, boastfulness and a tendency towards machievelic laughter will finally be rewarded through a title which renews the codes of the genre. You can find all of this and a great cartoon style graphics in this new title (it’s been released on 16 of April for Linux): Yrminsul, the game has been developed by an French Indie software house: Studio Black Flag Let’s see some more about this game.
