Small news for my readers, one of the game included in one of my article the Top 10 games for Linux in 2012 , is available until the 21 of October in a Indie Bundle, that as usual means that you can get it, and something more, with a very low budget.
To be honest of the 5 games available in this bundle just 2 are ported on Linux, but one of them is Oil Rush that, in my opinion, is worth alone the price of the whole bundle.
This is the official message of Indie Royale the website that is hosting this bundle:
Leaves are falling and the weather is cooling – Fall is here! It’s a great reason to offer you five great indie games in the Fall Bundle from Indie Royale! This compelling bundle is led by hit RPG To the Moon, along with the graphically gorgeous Oil Rush and critically acclaimed adventure Blackwell Deception, not to mention other great titles too! With deals like this, who cares if it’s getting dark earlier since that’s even more reason to stay in side and play these great indie games!
In this moment the minimum price to buy the whole bundle is set at 4$, and will go up over time, so if you like the titles I suggest to buy them as soon as possible.
Let’s take a quick look at Oil Rush and Reprisal, the two games available for Linux.
Oil Rush is a naval strategy game that takes place in a world where nuclear war has melted the ice caps, changing the face of the planet forever. Oil Rush offers unique gameplay, avoiding micromanagement of every single unit, while still providing full control over all important aspects of strategy and economy.
Capture, upgrade, and defend floating production platforms and oil rigs. Discover new technologies and send squads of naval and air units into the battle!
Created in homage to Populous (who remember this ?), Reprisal lets you take control of a tribe, guiding them, building land and making them grow in number. Using special totem powers you can control nature itself unleashing its full fury on anyone that stands in your way. But be warned, other tribes may not take too kindly to your intentions and will put up a fight!
Normal Price of Reprisal: around 8 $.
Both games are available through Desura game platform, and registering the key there you will be able also to install the other 3 Windows game, if you have a PC with that operating system.
The bundle also includes the soundtracks for Oil Rush and Reprisal, and by paying $8 or more buyers get the album 88:88 by Makeup and Vanity Set, a synthetic, chiptune band from Nashville.
