Piccolo promemoria: ricordarsi di rimuovere tutti i dati da UbuntuOne

Se siete degli utenti di Ubuntu One avrete probabilmente ricevuto una mail simile a questa:

“This is the FINAL reminder to make sure you have retrieved all your data from Ubuntu One filesync, as we will be deleting all the content permanently on 31st July 2014. After that date, we will no longer be able to retrieve any of your files.

In order to make it easy for you to retrieve all of your content, we have released a new feature that lets you download all your content at once. Our website (https://one.ubuntu.com/) has been updated with instructions on how to conveniently download all your files.

In addition, you still can use Mover.io’s offer to transfer your data to another cloud provider for free. The Ubuntu One web interface is available for you to download individual files as well.

Per quello che so non c’è un’applicazione ufficiale per Google Drive su Linux e così dopo aver guardato un po in giro ho scoperto che ci sono alcuni progetti interessanti che è possibile utilizzare per accedere ai dati su Google Drive dal vostro computer con linux, in particolare oggi vorrei mostrarvene 2:

Grive e Grive Tools: questi software sono ottimi se si desidera utilizzare Google Drive sul vostro laptot o Desktop o, in generale, in un ambiente grafico.

google-drive-ocamlfuse : Questo è più adatto se si desidera montare il vostro Google Drive su un server o da un terminale, infatti questo software esegue un mount di Google Drive come file System e saremo poi in grado di muoverci dentro ad esso e vedere tutti i file, come fosse un file system locale.
