Linux Games: No Gravity

No Gravity (classic) is a space arcade game with 5 game modes and it has very nice graphics, it is inspired by Wing Commander, a famous game of a few years ago that made ​​history for the space shooter.

No Gravity runs on Windows, MacOS X, Linux, Amiga OS4, BeOS. It’s an arcade type game with great playability, where it is easy to plunge into space battles against spacefighters, space stations and more !
As always in these games there are missions to do and limited time to do them.

This is the second part of my article regarding Indie games for Linux.
In the first part i’ve listed 5 Indie game freely downloadable for Linux, and on this one i’ll present you 5 games that must be bought before you can download them.

Today games are: Towns, Eschalon, Survivors of Ragnarök, Atom Zombie Smasher and Steel Storm: Burning Retribution.
But in the past I’ve already talked of some great Indie game so you can check also my articles about: Amnesia: The Dark Descent (probably the best horror game around in these days) and Dungeons Of Dredmor (a rogue-like game with a comic background)

In a former article regarding Linux games a reader commented that for Linux there are always the same title and nothing new really comes out.
So i’ve decided to explore a bit the indie game market and make 2 post about them, in this one i’ll show you 5 freely downloadable Indie games, in the next one i’ll post 5 game that must be purchased (but the costs are relatively low).

So today we’ll take a look at: dwarf fortress, epic inventor, abuse, smokin’guns and xonotic.

Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle – Review

If you follow linuxaria you know that some days ago we had a contest and the first prize was the last Humble Indie Bundle, the winner has been Geor Pribil, that has been so kind to write a review of the games, these are his opinions after some “testing” :

First of all, the Installation:

Using Steam and/or Desura, it’s quite simple. Just add the code, and download the games. If you are using Desura for Linux, you’ll have to join the Desura group on Desura (yep, its strange, i know), and you need to be accepted  that takes about 1 1/2 days, after that you can add the games, but for Frozen Synapse, you’ll have to pick the HIB version, or it will charge you for the game.
